Aromatherapy baths are baths that are taken by adding aromatherapy oils to the water. These oils contain natural plant substances that affect the skin and the senses. Aromatic baths are primarily used for relaxation and to support well-being and health.
Aromatic baths can be made with either pure essential oils or aromatic baths specifically designed for bathroom use. Some of the commonly used oils in aromatic baths include lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, rose and tea tree.
Soaking in bath water with aromatherapy oils can help relieve muscle tension and pain, reduce stress and anxiety, improve blood circulation and nourish skin. It is recommended to spend at least 20 minutes in the bath to achieve the full effect of the oils. However, it is important that the oils are carefully washed off afterwards.
